Brilyante: The Empowered Woman

Women's empowerment takes center stage in the recently held Brilyante: The Empowered Woman, presented by the Mu Sigma Phi Sorority as part of its Diamond Year celebration. A benefit dinner – fashion presentation for the Cervical Cancer Prevention Network Program (CECAP) of the Cancer Institute Foundation, Inc. of the Philippine General Hospital, the event was a success measured not only by the sheer number of attendees and supporters, but more so by its message educating against the human papillomavirus (HPV) and the empowerment of women in the face of adversity. Held at the NBC Tent last August 28, 2009, the event was a showcase of beauty and strength, mixed-in with good natured fun and enjoyment.
